Since 2009, Bev Johnson My Praise, My Worship has been offering high school scholarships to students in the Northern Virginia area who have shown commendable effort in serving their community.

 

This year, the 2025 Bev Johnson My Praise, My Worship scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors in the D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia area.

To be eligible, applicants must be graduating seniors in high school located in the DMV area with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 18, 2025, by 12 midnight.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants must submit the following:

• A completed application with all areas filled out

• Official acceptance letter from a two- or four-year college

• Current transcript from high school

• A 700-word maximum essay:

  • Option 1: Explain your involvement and dedication to serving the community throughout your high school career and how serving your community has made you a better leader and enhanced your craft.

  • Option 2: Explain your involvement in music & arts and how it's made you a confident leader in your education.

• Ability to participate in scholarship concert ceremony Saturday, August 2, 2025 if awarded. Student must be present with parents.
